Located in the heart of downtown Monterey on Alvarado Street, Alejandro’s is a masterclass in experiential hospitality design. As the full-service design-build firm behind the project, our team was tasked with transforming a narrow commercial footprint into a multi-layered, transportive culinary destination.

Inspired by the coastal elegance of Mexico's Riviera Maya and the lush, atmospheric energy of Tulum, we handled every phase of the process, from the initial architectural concepts and interior material curation to the final commercial construction and custom finishes.

Our primary architectural goal was to create an immersive environment that engages all five senses, evoking the feeling of stumbling upon a high-end boutique hotel. To achieve this within a deep, linear layout, we structured the venue into distinct, fluid zones:

The Lounge and Bar…
This high-energy, sophisticated entry space is anchored by a dramatic bar program. It’s designed to welcome guests with a mix of refined textures and moments of glam.

The Moody Dining Oasis…
A deeper, more intimate sit-down space defined by a "jungle beach" aesthetic. It features cascading greenery, custom lighting, and rich organic materials.
